MA Work - Touching Absence
In 2018 I studied part-time for a Master of Arts in Textiles at UCA Farnham. That same year my late husband David was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. In 2019 that was revised to Lewy Body Disease.

Touching Absence is my way of interpreting in cloth and stitch the effect David's diagnosis had on myself and our relationship.

All fabrics, including wool, cotton, linen, silk and mixed natural fibres were hand dyed by me using natural dyes. Pieces 1 - 3 were handstitched. All other pieces were machine pieced and machine quilted where appropriate.

I was awarded the degree with Merit.
